FOUAD LAROUI

Fouad Laroui, born in Oujda (Morocco) is a Moroccan-Dutch writer. After studying mathematics in Casablanca, civil engineering in Paris and economics in Amsterdam, he now lives between Amsterdam and Paris. In France, he won the “Albert Camus Prize” for his debut novel “Les dents du Topographe” and the “Grand Prix de la Nouvelle de la Société des Gens de Lettres” for his short stories. He also publishes in Dutch and was awarded the Dutch “Eddy du Perron Prize” for his contribution to an understanding amongst communities. In his most recent book, “De l’islamisme” he provides his personal view on Islam, while vigorously refuting and denouncing Political Islam.
